Research has shown that the relationship between the client and the counselor is one of the most powerful factors in creating change in counseling. If you do not feel comfortable and connected to the therapist then the process doesn’t work.
I am committed to meeting clients where they are, by listening carefully and asking probing questions so I may empathetically understand what you are feeling, and joining you in what you want to accomplish. By explaining my therapeutic approach, which combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and neuroscience as a framework within which to conceptualize your concerns and provide the most powerful, evidence based resources available to help accomplish the changes you want to experience in your life.
