Is Therapy the Answer for You?

Therapy is a chance to have a healthy, nonjudgemental, trusting relationship with someone who is solely focused on you, is on your side and wants to see you have a healthier, more fulfilling and balanced life. Through the use of evidenced based tools mental health professionals can help you navigate the struggles in your life.

“That all sounds good” you may be thinking, “but what about the fear of what others may think or what it might say about you if you seek therapy?”

To push past the stigma, first, realize that there’s no harm in trying out therapy. Second, learn that therapy is not a one -size-fits all process. Like physical health care, mental health care has a wide variety of options that address a wide variety of problems.

The Effectiveness of Therapy

The effectiveness of therapy depends on being able to tolerate short-term painful emotions with the support and guidance of the therapist.

Here are some common questions my therapy clients ask:

What is psychotherapy?

What is your therapeutic approach?

What are the roles of the therapist and the client during treatment?

What usually happens during a typical session?

How long will therapy last?
